Location
Peace River District of BC, 20 kilometres north of the community of Buckinghorse River

Characteristics
Prominent Rocky Mountain foot-hill ridge that hosts the old Yukon Alaska highway; vegetation is primarily spruce trees; past local forest fire burn; some logging; communications towers; extensive gas production with buried gas pipelines.
Permitting
An Investigative License for wind energy assessment has been issued by the BC Government.
Wind Resource
Average ridge elevation is 1,200m and influenced by a moderate wind regime from the south and west. Average hub height wind speeds estimated to be average 6.5m/s.

Up to 180MW

Belcourt Site
Location
Peace River District of BC, 72 kilometres southeast of the community of Tumbler Ridge.
Area
5,000 hectares
Characteristics
Site is located above a level, shallow and elongated rise in land averaging 1,250m in elevation; covered with spruce trees, subjected to the Red Deer Creek fire (2014); natural gas wells in operation as well as and block logging

An Investigative License for wind energy assessment has been issued by the BC Government.
Wind Resource
Wind is strongly unidirectional and hub height speeds average 7.0m/s.

Up to 150MW
